A zine visualizing ‘The Horrifying Shipwreck that Inspired Moby Dick’, an episode of ‘Ruining History’. The zine navigates the historical events that inspired the classic novel ‘Moby Dick’, with the constraints of typography based visuals and a limited color palette.
The overall visuals are inspired by vintage nautical designs, and handwritten lettering. I especially took a lot of inspiration from “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack”. The use of textures and the color palette in that tv show had the same creepy, unsettling vibe I wanted
to acheieve.
