A zine visualizing ‘The Horrifying Shipwreck that Inspired Moby Dick’, an episode of ‘Ruining History’. The zine navigates the historical events that inspired the classic novel ‘Moby Dick’, with the constraints of typography based visuals and a limited color palette.
The overall visuals are inspired by vintage nautical designs, and handwritten lettering. The use of textures and the color palette in the tv show “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack” were the main inspiration for the creepy, unsettlingly beautiful typography.
